The DS is great portable and all but No$GBA is really cool because its free even though its not portable but it is better than the DS as it runs games faster and smoother even on older systems.

    No$GBA RULES LIKE HELL ;D

This might be in the wrong subforum....
I used to use no$gba before buying an NDS Lite earlier this year, and I must say nothing beats the real thing. Playing games like Cooking Mama, FFXII: Revenant Wings, WarioWare, Pokemon etc. just doesn't feel right. Don't get me wrong, no$gba is a great emulator in its own right and what they've accomplished with it is phenomenal to say the least, but in terms of the experience, portability, and fun it doesn't come close.

For me personally I would stick to the emulator. Because emulation for DS is getting better and better, I may as well stick to the emulator instead of forking out over R2000 (SA money) for the DS, which is actually pretty damn expensive for a student like me. Don't get me wrong, I am sure playing on the DS itself is amazing and much better than the emulator, but when you can do it for free and save yourself two grand you don't have, its kind of a no brainer. I really would like a DS though. I am thinking of buying a PSP instead. PSP is really hard to emulate and it has some really awesome games and you can play some really awesome games on it. Better yet, you can even put emulators on it. And it costs R1500 so you can get it for much cheaper than a DS over here. So for me personally, I will support the emulator on this one purely because I can't afford to get the DS itself, which I would love to have.

Seriously? This is a current generation NDS versus current generation PSP right? That's some price difference right there. I bought my NDS for Rp 1.875.000 (Indonesia) complete with 4 GB SD card, CycloDS Evolution, and a custom-made sleeve :) .

not quite sure about the whole faster part, since this probably is affect by your computer and stuff, but if i have to choose now and a emulator, i choose the real thing, mostly cos i manage to save up and bought it( 320 S$ for a ds lite, 1G edge<- probably got scammed somewhere along the line...)

But i choose the real thing, mainly for compatibility issues, for example, the world ends with you, the emulator STILL can't emulate the game yet, whereas on a real ds, it is runnable, and let's not forget rondo of swords as well, just a small example of why a real ds is better than a emulator, i am not saying emulator sucks or what, since i do use them, when i forgot to bring my ds with me, but compability wise and reduce in differiculties wise, i choose a ds :D

Yes, seriously. PSP is A LOT cheaper. I think its better value for money personally. But you are lucky. Wish I could find a deal like that and get a real DS. :) Maybe one day. But for now am aiming for the PSP.

DS the handheld is better...For now. They could do so much with no$gba, it's very good now but when they introduce a stable online play, or perhaps introduce fullscreen emulation (or even just a bigger window) and a bit more stable emulation for the later games.

There is a patch/fix of some sort that makes the no$gba screen double its original size. It's much better to play.

The DS, it's just way cooler to really touch, not just clicking with a mouse..

The DS! Full compatibility, portability, and, of course, you get to touch. :p

    A RL DS is US$129.
    It's not expensive at all.

I've bought one, and also played on NO$GBA, before.
    What can I say?

Personally, I feel the actual DS is better. Some games when they're first ripped to play on the emulator don't work right away, yet will run fine on an actual DS. Myself, I'd rather just get the .nds files and put them on a sdflash card to play on the real DS. Much better.

As someone had said before, nothing beats the original.

No$GBA is slow and has buggy graphics when it comes to the big games. Some games also sometimes take ages to set up with the emulator. When I put an NDS file on my DS, I can expect it to just Work with it. NDS is definitely the best "Emulator" of DS Games

    1. A DS is Portable
    2. It can do everything that NO$GBA can do
    3. A DS lite doesn't cost as much as it did from before, it's about 100$ now
    4. It's not exactly hard to run ROMS on a DS nowadays, and overall its better than NO$GBA
