Which is better HG/SS or the (old fashion) G/S edition

IMO i like the original, because the original makes the beat, especially the sound backgrounds they created for the editions and old memories splattered to my mind when i choose to like this, and actually remembers me playing with it as a 9 year old kid with friends, but for the gameplay and its unique transformation i would choose the Remake.

Give out your opinions everybody, and so what do you think is the best? the original or the remake?

 

From what I seen, the new one is better.

Only because all features from other games are mixed in, into the classic environment of G/S which I like the most.


This is the personal opinion of a guy who has only seen and read about this.

 

The remake has some pretty cool features and still manages to bring back those old memories

Too bad only the Japanese versions got the slot machines, I don't like the voltorb flip game.

I vote for the remake.

 

heartgold and soulsilver, they are almost just the same as the crystal I played when I was a little kid and have nice extra features (more pokémon pokéathlon and so on and so forth) Nice gameplay, I've always liked the second generation games the best! =)

 

I don't like the new Graphics. I voted for "Gold/Silver"

 

HgSs With cheats to get the GB sounds. Nostalgia from the beginning

 

apart from using cheats, there is this key item (that you get from one of the guys in the game freak apartment at celadon once you have all 16 badges) that changes the music of almost every place into the gb version as long as it is set to on

 

Well

Pokemon is one of the few series that even if they don't change the game much. The new game is 90% of the time better than the old one.

So I vote SS and HG by far.
Original games always beat new games when talking about Nostalgia. But in many aspects the new version is better.

 

Ijust foudn an actually workign copy of HG last night and i liek it so far
The original g/s was better because it was a new story
but most ppl who are pkmn fans will know it by heart already but the graphics/new features still make HG/SS better to me

 

Heart Gold/Soul Silver are the same thing...with more...I don't think they removed anything, did they?

 

New graphics and added features can never beat nostalgia
I think the remakes are great though.

 

Nope instead they add new story transitions, if your playing it you'll know.

Why?

HG/SS evolved from G/S.
So:
No Gold/Silver = No HeartGold/SoulSilver
And I remember the time when I first played G/S on an emulator.
Sigh.
