Hi- I have an r4 for NDS which I am very happy with - now a friend wants the same, cant get them anywhere!! What is the likelihood they will become available at reasonable, not extortionate prices in the next few weeks? What are the best alternatives? Basically want them to back up NDS games on one disc for kids to play withour carrying lots of them around, risk of loss, arguments over who is playing what! I found R4 simple to set up & kids can use, so looking for advice & opinions please!
    Thank you

They probably won't get cheaper, but they're really cheap if you buy them online. R4 and M3 Simply are the best. They're almost exactly the same. CycloDS is supposed to be better but I don't really know. And it's a cart not a disc.

It is, I definitely don't regret getting a CycloDS instead of an R4, I missed out on the whole ordeal with demo version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronical: Ring of Fate

Yeah I'm thinking of getting a Cyclo myself...
I heard the cart build wasn't the best quality though ...

I have 2 M3 Simply and a M3 DS Real. I like the boot menu of the simply and the cheats are easy to use. The Real plays all games no patches but the interface sucks and is slow. But you get to use 4Gig cards. BUT as of now there are problems with too many files being on it causing glitches.

I apologise if this thread is duplicating; I had tried various searches & trawls through before posting and whilst I thought this would be something previously discussed, couldnt find any detail.
The comments here are helpful, I am looking for something as straightforward as I find the R4, and this gives useful hands on experiences, so thank you.
