Which Dragon Quest Game?

    I've decided to try out the Dragon Quest games (on the ds) but I'm not too sure which one I shouls start with.
    My question: Which should I start with and Does it matter if I play them out of a particular order?

    I don't want to be lost in storyline or anything like that.

    Maybe you can try Dragon Quest V. I think it is the best of them all. Give it a try, the game is just awesome.

    I agree, the V is the best!
    But the IV is nice too :)

    Dragon Quest V hand of the heavenly bride. is a kick-ass rpg. i have to recommend you that
    also if you have a ps2 and you haven't checked it yet. give it a try to Dragon Quest VIII one of the best RPG in history.
