which card to use in dsi

i have bought a dsi for my son for christmas and would like to know which card they take i have a r4 card for my ds will this work in it if so wot do i do to it to make it work if not wot do i need thank you in advance

 

The R4 won't work on the DSi.

The best card to get for the DSi is the Acekard 2i.
