Which card to buy for dsi?

Hi,

Please could someone tell me which card I need to buy for my dsi?
I did buy an r4i but then updated my dsi so now it doesnt work, so which card do i need to get now?

AceKard 2i, but you need a DSLite or a DSi that is not updated to run on 1.4 firmware. Or get the iEDGE, or a different R4i, if you don't have a DSLite or DSi on 1.3 firmware.

It can be updated to play on a 1.4 DSi, but you need a DS light or DS Phat in order to update it if your DSi is 1.4, which I believe your's is?

I agree with the other posters, buy an AceKard 2.i.

I had an R4i which stopped working once the 1.4 update came along and could not get around it. Bought myself an AK 2.i, put AKAIO on the micro sd card and the update firmware it needed, shoved it in my ds lite, pressed it to update then shoved it in my DSi. Done.

So much simpler than the R4i. Now I'm glad I bought one.

I wasn't calling you poop, just saying it. So were you pointing out to ace101 that laura5980 had already updated the DSi? If so, sorry, I thought you were saying there was no card that could be used on updated firmware. I got a bit confused.

 

the best card to get is the AceKard2i this works in the Ds, DS lite AND DSI if you are using a DSI and using the internet on it youi will need to put the 1.4 firmware on to it. have have 2 of these card they are the best i Highly recommond going for it. BUT if you r not going to go for a Acekard2i BECAREFULL about the FAKE cards there are alot out there. THERE ARE NO FFAKE ACEKARD 2i that i no of. so go for it.

Yeah. I saw that a few weeks ago.

I checked my brothers card because I didn't want to take mine apart. XD
And it was a real one.

Plus if you want to run AKAIO 1.5.1 on your card, you must have a real Acekard. (the non-cracked version)

 

Thanks guys, so I think the moral of the story is to get an Acekard!
I will probably be back on here once I have purchased it for you to tell me what to do with it then! I do have a regular ds too as i think that is what I need to make it work!?

Yes, you'll need the regular DS to update the card so it bypasses the block they put on the DSi. Make sure you get the Acekard 2i, not just the Acekard.
