ive always used internet explorer because it was the first i ever used and does everything i need it to so ive never tried any others. please vote which you think is best and if you want to, leave a post saying why you think your choice is better than the others
Opera, man. Never had any problems with it. Though it needs much CPU on my PC to run so I must use Firefox
I use Firefox on every Operating System that I have ever had. Unless I have to use IE for the first few minutes before I get Firefox.
why are they better than internet explorer? are they faster? more options/add ons/better layout? more secure? do you just like the way they look?
Opera is customizeable with skins. It has add-ons, and Opera Unite (applications that other users can access, but it runs from your computer). It has much add-ons. On my computer, Opera is the fastest browser. It is very secure, I don't think someone could hack me with it.
tried firefox earlier it just seems like IE im now on google chrome, i like the way i can add my most used bookmarks in at the top but im not keen, the other bookmarks are just in the wrong place! I havent noticed any speed difference from either compared with IE
That it is stupid. If it has crashed: "Oops, Chrome has crashed. It is not your fault. Do you want to restart Chrome?" ^That is a message that you can say to a 3 year old.
Google Chrome is the Best, I love the fact there is only ONE bar at the top and there are now addons and even JavaScript blocking(dev channel). It has built in spell checker and automatic translation(dev channel or addon). Although there is one thing I don't understand, why hasn't Google put Google in the dictionary????? Try typing in about:crash in the address bar! Anyway, I do feel that A FEW of the errors are a bit childish. Also it is faster (I feel) and won't crash if one tab/addon crashes
on their site opera claims to be the fastest for slow internet connections - thats me then. im downloading it now Post Merge: [time]1267896185[/time] opera is quicker than the others but its kinda odd and the bookmarks is way too clumsy
IE is insecure, does not adhere to web standards (so it cant display webpages properly) and generally is so crap its considered to hold back development of the web.
I hate IE. WebsEdit isn't functioning correct in it... Post Merge: [time]1267901228[/time] Oh, and for that "Faster on slower connections", there is an icon in the lower-left. Press it when it says "Opera Turbo".
i did like it until i read this! maybe its time to change. firefox is very similar i might start using that instead. I am quite liking chrome as well so will use them both for a bit and see. I cant get along with opera, the bar down the left just makes everything crowded and it opens a full new tab for downloads, and they stop if you close the browser! its just not thought out properly.
Opera is my personal favorite, It is THE best!!!! I also like Chrome, it is kind of my backup browser.
