I myself love my Pc it's great for writing programs playing games or browsing the internet.

But it seems the game community prefers releasing their games on consoles but never is there ever a pc port. Well there have been many times when a pc port was released but a lot of the times there pirated which is kill the pc game community.

piracy does not kill PC games any more than piracy kills the music industry.

but less developers are willing to make games for PC because of piracy

I think the only console that can't currently be pirated is the PS3. That's not stopping the gaming companies from developing and releasing games for the 360, Wii, PS2, etc.

it is true that some developers don't like porting to pc because of the easy of piracy but some don't just because they sell more on consoles and can't be bothered to port it.

but it has been shown now that the majority of gamers just download because that is their preferred method and find shops overpriced and will gladly pay for good games that are downloadable at affordable prices, this shows in sales numbers on sites like steam or direct2drive.

piracy has actually helped the music industry, ok it kills large companies and artists that sit on their ass and don't tour.
piracy for smaller bands and touring band has been good and although sales are not high ticket sales and merchandise sales are up.
it is also good for small bands as they would not have any sales unless people have downloaded and liked the bands practically unheard music.

there are also studies going on that suggest the majority of album sales are actually from pirates because they download it like it and buy it (much like the principle for romulation)

That can be a double-edge sword. More choice for vendors and consumers, but a wider range of hardware that needs to be supported by the software developers.

sooner or later, someones gonna come up with some AWESOME new program that enhances PC performance soo much, then game developers will make it a mandatory requirement to play their games on the PC and the console game sales will drop like PC game sales :p

well, drivers do improve the graphics and processor performance, but there is a limit. they can't actually turn GDDR3 memory into GDDR5, for instance.

software cant push the hardward over its own limit, however drive can make the hardware more effician, but it wont do anymore then that.

example a driver can be design to compress data to be store in the hard disk so the hard disk can store more data, but it cant be design to make a 40GB hard disk into 80GB hard disk.

Old Deryck the laptop struggles playing games more graphically involved than Spore and The Sims 3

Some games are so heavy on computers but Consoles have a regulative fit pattern so gameplay is very similar with anybody except for connection lags and the TV itself

+ normally consoles cost more, if you want a nice collection of games and stuff (PS3)

actually PC cost more in long run, since in term of gaming, the game developer will make a game on a newer hardware, in result forcing the gamer to upgrade thier PC, while in console the hardware already fixed, the so the developer cant make any game that do more then the console could.

example, its over 7 years now and PS2 still can play any new game that is release on PS2, can a over7 years old PC still play a new game without any upgrade? i doubt it.
