Where to get an orginal R4 card from?

I recently bought an R4 card which i thought but be an original but when it arrived yesterday, it was called a R4 "UPGRADE" SDHC card. Not a thing like my other R4 card. It only plays the companies software where i bought it from, where it freezes doing a save data file and on most games.
(www.R4cards.co.uk) Utterley disappointed. Can someone either recommend what i can do with it? OR where i can get an original from as its for a present? Thanks guys. Marie

 

I don't know where you could get one these days, but I'd say don't bother getting an R4. Acekard2 and CycloDS are the best on the market.

 

I was hoping to get one like mine so i could have just copied the data over though??? what would you recommend? will the 2gb memory card and usb stick work with other cards as i dont fancy spending much more on another?

this is the only software to get to load up on it:-( which is from the actual company i bought it from...http://www.r4cards.co.uk/r4 not sure what model it is etc... but when i try to load a game it freezes on save data then i have to turn it off and on and sometimes the game may work??? any ideas?

nope... it wont play certain games at all, mario and luigi partners in time... it plays on my original card but not this.. or that viva pinata game:-( i'm just worried why it freezes on the save data stage, but you switch off and restart and the game'll sometimes play.

 

partners in time, has no issues why it shouldn't play, just not too sure why you should be encountering problems, because if you have the firmware from the website

address off the box the card arrived in then all should be good,

try a folded piece of paper, to make the R4 fit tighter into the DS, maybe it's a contact issue

 

the address on the box is completely different to where i got the card from though:-s (tell me if i'm being blonde) and the card seems tight enough. its mainly the save data issue which freaks me out. i dont want to do any harm to my ds?

i'm still at a loss knowing exactly what's happening to you, are you able to play any game at all with the card?

 

right i have progress.. downloaded software from r4di-sdhc.com.... and put mario and luigi on it, still froze on save data and had to switch off and back on but then the game loaded after about 3 minutes still wish i knew what was going on with the save data though??

I formatted it before i started, to fat32? doesnt seem to like being formatted to fat?
