Doesn't the R4 already come with moonshell or is this different?

 

umm. ok everyone. i got moonshell, and i have a DS card called "DS Fire Card".
I've tried hard to get moonshell to work on it but it won't happen!!
Help!!

 

Did you DLDI patch it?

 

I have no idea what that is. I'm sorry to be a nuisance. but could someone show me step by step? :-[

The tutorial needs to be for moonshell installing on a DS Fire Card.

After you do that, just follow the normal installation instructions, using the file you patched instead of the default one.

I don't know which one would work for a DS Fire Card, seems really uncommon.

Its an N card. But when i follow the instructions it doesn't let me install the new version from that drunken something site. I guess i won't be able to watch movies on my DS with this card then... :'( :'(

 

You need to go the official dldi site chism drunken or something then download the appropriate patch for your flashcard and put it on your card (anywhere I think) then go down and download the DLDItool patcher (win32 the setup one). Once installed, it will list a name of all the current flashcards. Select the ones you have and exit. Then select the .nds rom you want to patch (you should do this to all homebrew apps) and right click. There should be a option in the menu saying you can DLDI patch it. A window will come up. All you have to do is press a key to patch the rom. Do that and it should say 'Successfully patched!' or something to that effect then press another key to exit. If it doesn't say that, that means that the rom you tried to patch didn't need patching. Put the newly patched rom on your flashcard where you can easily find it and it should work. Easy aye!
