    Hello,
I live in Hungary, on the border with Austria (45 from Vienna).
Can anyone tell what stores might sell the R4 card here?

    Thanks in advance, Tony

Your best solution is to buy them from online stores.

Dealextreme is one of the best, so I've heard, it also ships worldwide. But it has slow shipping.

    ONE suggestion-get an "acekard' instead.

The r4 is an outdated brand that is never gonna be officially updated.

    Heck-if it has anything but "r4" on it's label it's a clone/fake.

Some clones are based off the stuff they used to make the acekard 2.1-2.i (but not as good...)

Plus the acekard is easy to use-I was a total noob until I got this XD

I'm with mds64 on this, I've just got myself an acekard 2i, after using an R4 for a year

Very pleased with it, the added bonus is the AKAIO firmware

Do you use them both combined (acekard official+akio) at the same time-it adds compatibility :)

Here is something a well-some r4 clones can also use akio depending on which model-but don't work quite as well...

off topic I know, but no I don't use them at the same time as I bought it
    for M+L Bowser's Inside Story.

Plus I'm still new to the card, and what the card is able to do

Ah, fair enough-not much else other than themes, gba compatibility (but requires an ezy 3 in 1 expansion card in slot 2) and homebrew games.

It's easy to have both-install akio and locate the "akloader" from the acekard site, and ram that inside an "akloader" folder inside the "_akio" folder in your card.

Then in rom options (where you can access cheats) you can switch loaders-I find animal crossing works better with acekard than akio.

I know I'm a bit late here, but please don't buy an R4, we already have enough people asking "Why doesn't this game work on my R4!?!?!?!".

Go with an Acekard 2 if you can.

Please elaborate on this...I haven't bought the R4 yet.
What are the advantages of the Acekard 2?
Does it work the same way?
