Whats up with the genre search?

I like that there are additional search fields available, but why do nearly none of them seem to work properly? The genre search, in particular. I know that role playing or adventure games exist in the ds
listing, so why is it when I want the search to find only these types of games, the results are always blank? Has the search info for the roms not been completed? It really isn't that big of a deal, but a working search function would cut down on having to scan through pages on pages of roms that I'm not interested in. ...Or, am I just using it wrong?

Genres have been disabled because of abuse.

Genres used to be user submitted. People would submit such things like Pokemon games being First Person Shooters. Or Grand Theft Auto being Kid Friendly.
This made the Genre system unreliable.

what if I were to scour trusted review sites (i.e. Gamfaqs, IGN, GameSpot, ect.) and compile a listing of tags for the games in the DS listing.(The US and UK games, at least?) Seeing as how it isn't working right now anyway, if i could get a listing in a text file of the Current titles on the site, i could try to get a reliable set of tags in a few days, possibly a week. Yes, I've got that sort of free time, unfortunately.

That's up to Seph. He's already got plans regarding Genre and Ratings.

All right, just thought I'd offer. Shame to see such a good tool be unused because a few morons like to break the system. Thanks.

I don't have the time to help... But I think it's a good idea for them to be moderated as opposed to user submitted...
