Do you mean firmware? For Phat and Slim, there's two different firmware for each, Phat I think is 3.77 or something. Some games and homebrew and stuff work on a specific firmware version.
Yes basically the firmware version. I'm pretty sure it's 3.77 but in most cases it doesn't matter if you have the latest firmware.
when i got my psp a few days ago the version was 2.71 and i updated to 3.71 and now i can do loads more stuff. do you now if i can put downloaded games with my version being 3.71 ??? ??? ??? ???
I didnt know there was a 3.77! 3.95 or something, 3.90 M33 for Custom Firmare. any firmware under 3.60 runs only on phat, 3.60 runs only on slim. Above 3.60 works on both, except no 1.5 kernel on slim, but no things like USB Charge or external display on phat.
