i dunno... why are people classified by the music thy listen to? i like metal and i look like any black person who might like the rap crap

Emos had a march in London because the Daily Mail, a British newspaper, said that their music influenced and glamorized suicide. In this specific case a young girl that apparently started listening to their music a short while before she killed herself. I think there was a reported 200ish emos marching about (swinging their fringes) in protest, and to show their support for the band.
Sorry I thought I added that in somewhere, It was my chemical romance. People have been calling the march "the black parade"
the girl probably killed herself because the band sucked so much... i never understood these band names: funeral for a friend, bullet for my valentine, motorhead (ok, i get that one) - they all involve dying. i now want to pull the wings off pigeons now
"Emo's" just listen to that stuff because they know the know the world is evil. It's not crap, it's the truth. At least give them that. Besides, their life was probably already messed up before they started listening to emo music. I'm not against or with emo's, I just know where they're coming from.
Does Silverchair & Nirvana count as Emos, although I know Nirvana is classified as grunge. Well back in my angst filled, suicidal teen years those were the Bands I listened to, along with some local bands here.
not all emos cut themselves!! and there is also scene (yo! thats me) being scene is like emo but your not as un-cheerful
