whats the best nds emulator to play roms on

i have the deSmuME and when i load pokemon ruby the screen just stays black can some please help and tell me where i can get a good nds emulator. thanks

 

The one that's furthest along to my knowledge is No$GBA, but Pokemon Ruby is a GBA game.

 

sorry i meant pearl everytime i go to load it though it dosent work it says something about an error occured like it say restart the rom but it never works

 

I had the same problem with DESume (or whatever it is) when I tried to load diamond which I downloaded from these forums a big confusing error message comes up.

i think both no$gba and DeSmuME are not bad but i dun think any of them can load pearl/diamond

 

no$gba is best, diamond and pearl need to be patched as far as i know to run on an emulator, theres a thread on it somewhere.

 

alright, this seems like the best place to ask this...i have no$gba 2.5c and ive patched my pokemon pearl/diamond and so i try to save the game and come back, and i get the black screen, i tried using ideas for a while but the white screen whenever fog is in the area is annoying, i have no idea how to fix this...ive looked all over, and, like i said, ive used the patches already...i used to be able to load but that was when i had one of the older no$gba but i like to cheat, lol, i so i got a newer version and ever since i get the black screens...

 

ok, 1) yes, i did that first, lol, 2) i found a site that said to re-download the .nds files and dont patch them, now it works, lol, trial and error, so if u get anything newer then no$gba 2.4f make sure u use non-patched .nds files and they will work the way they used to
