I remember quite a long time ago I played this cool game. You control these small (to what I think it is) RC cars and you would drive around the neighborhood doing stunts and stuff in other houses. go into mouse holes or sewers. one of the cars I used to use was an F1 remote control car. it had pretty bad graphics but was still a good game. not racing it was free play

    rc revenge maybe?

I know the gamer but can't think if rc revenge is the name of the one your after...the one I'm thinking of is on n64 and playstation 1, yet rc revenge is only on playstation.

    Might it be....

    Micro Machines?

And oh yeah, there are various versions of the game for different consoles:

    Also, your remark...

Does not sit well with me as I am a retro gamer & graphics mean squat next to a fun, solid game play mechanic that this game has.

Is it Re-volt? That game is more on racing but you said something about an F1 car. There is an F1 car in this game. It's for Playstation.

Since, you didn't cited any consoles, it might be micro machines.
