I hope I'm the first to start a topic with that title. Anyway, the first game I beat was Super Mario Bros. on the NES.

    Post away. ;D

Every 80's kid was always expected to have SMB1 as your first game that you ever beat, but because I was stuck for a long time on world 8 - 2's long jump section my first game I ever beat was Mickey Mouse Capades. ;D

Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past.
    Completed with all 20 hearts.
    I beat that when I was 7.

However, me and my friend beat Super Mario World when we were 4.
We didn't know about star shortcuts until towards the end.

Can't remember off-hand, but it was either Zelda or Final Fantasy.

I can't remember too much of anything from when I was 4 or 5 years old these days. :p

I think it was either Final Fantasy, Zelda, or Pokemon. It might have been that simple colours Zelda on the NES.

god I wish I knew about Final Fantasy when I was 3 or 4 years old.

then again, my parents were completely non-technical experts at the gaming scene.
They didn't know that the regular Red, White and Yellow jacks work on a regular TV.
instead, they bought this crappy thing that only uses channel 3 and 4.

The good ol' RF coax connector, I had the same thing for both NES and SNES. Man that thing sucked, but the TV it was all hooked up to only had that kind of connection so I didn't really have an alternative.
