its not worth upgrading anything in your current system. If you dont get enough to build the new one save the money you do get until you have enough. As a side note, commit charge is nothing to do with PSU, its related to virtual memory (i.e pagefile)
you have to, its complete new computer. Very few if any of the new parts will be compatible with your existing parts.
Yeah I guess so. They're all pretty modern and these parts are approx: 9Yrs+ It's older then half my cousins. Anyway, how well will this run any modern game? Apparently (posted on alot of sites lately) everything is great for my price range but the coolermaster is apparently "unreliable" any similar replacements that are trusted?
Not sure actually... He never really mentioned Here's the exact post: "I'd be a bit reticent recommending coolermaster. I had two die on me in under 3 months use for each. Obviously I may have just got unlucky. Never had a problem with anything thermaltake, antec or corsair though" I think it's the cooler. Not sure.
hmm probably the cooler then. coolermaster is usually a good brand so maybe he was just unlucky. I personally have a scythe mugen in this computer, and I've had good experience with sunbeamtech core contact freezer coolers, but I have a friend who dislikes them because of the size (his girlfriend's computer was mishandled by fedex and the weight of the cooler caused the board to warp and the CPU to break out of its socket, however I have a computer that has two of them and its never had any problems)
depending on which graphics card you get it will run pretty much anything currently out. obviously the radeon 5770 won't run the brand new stuff as well as the 6770 would.
he's building a complete new computer. I already told him his current one isnt worth upgrading since no modern components will work in it.
