Hey, I'm new to the forums, but not so new to emulators.

Unfortunately, I got one issue I'm not so sure about. I have No$GBA v2.6a, and just downloaded Zelda:pH (U). I ran it, using the settings I commonly see on these forums, and see that the language showing is in Spanish instead of English.

How do I change the ROM from Spanish to English?

I'm sorry if it's a stupid question, but I do want to play it on the PC.

What is the specific ROM you have downloaded? If you want North American English, make sure you've downloaded the (U) version of the particular ROM. Otherwise, browse the start menus and such for the word "idioma," then "Inglés," which translate to "language" and "English," respectively. :p

I have 1456 - The Legend of Zelda - Phantom Hourglass (U), as I said before. Sorry it wasn't clear :)

It would change it to spanish depending on the firmware. There should be an option to change it. If not, go to Options, Emulator Setup then under Reset/Startup Entrypoint, change it to GBA BIOS. Then once you reset, you will be taken to the main NDS GUI, check the language and change it to english. That might work.

    Anand-

I forgot about that! But, upon taking your advice, I did reset to the GBA BIOS, and started up like you would a normal DS. It was in Spanish, and changing it to English did fix the DS to English. But, it tells you that it will shut down, and you must in order to save it. The emu closes down as well, and re-opening it, it reloads in Spanish again!

I've saved settings so that the GUI comes up, but it reloads in Spanish still... maybe I should get another DS emulator? Any suggestions? I've tried iDeaS before, and it worked all right, wasn't so great last year, but if anyone's got the definite answer to help me, or if y'all can tell me what works so I can play Zelda: PH (U) on a DS emu. Thanks again.

Is there any way to change the language on the Germany's Next Top Model emulator?

Depends on what type of emulator you have. Do what anand said in this thread. See if it works... then again, if you have the same emu, then we both got to find a definite solution to this :)

You forgot to save the options, go Options, then Save Options. Then once you open no$gba again, it should stay in english. Glad I could be of help :)

Sorry it wasn't clear again. Already did this. Did not work. I'll try again. Thanks anyways.

EDIT: Tried it again, using another 2 games to offset for anything with PH. Nope, still the same result: I save so BIOS opens up first. Changed settings from Espanol to English, then saved it on the Emu Option Save. Then I proceeded to back out of the DS's options. "The DS will now shut down." -> OK. Shut down, closed the emu window by itself. Loaded it up again, and again it was Spanish. PROBLEM here.

Well I guess there's probably no way to keep it in english, so you'll have to switch back to english every time you play PH. Although this shouldn't be a problem if you play it for a hour or so each time.

    I can't even do that.

I don't know if you understand what's happening with No$GBA. Once I save on options from the NDS GUI, it asks me to shut down, just like a real NDS would ask. The whole window shuts down when I hit OK. When I load it up again, it loads up in Spanish. It does not save.

Thanks for your effort, anand. And I don't mean to offend anyone.

This saved configuration makes no$gba run in English for me. If this does not fix it, the next order of business is making sure you have proper BIOs. If you need these (because the configuration setup won't work), you can PM me and I can give them to you personally. After this, if it still does not work, the issue is probably with your ROM. It may be (S) or something, and mislabeled as a (U) release, though that's probably not as likely, especially if you downloaded the ROM from RomUlation. *wink and a thumbs up briefly, before smiling at Seph*[/code]

Should I start the cartridge directly or run NDS BIOS? I did try the code, and it did not work. I do have Z:pH from RomULation, and it still did not work, but it's not the rom's fault. We know it's the emulator.

Anyone got a solution to fix the emulator's language to English & save it? Or is there a DS emu out there that you can easily change languages?

The configuration I sent you would be a saved English emu config. And since the ROM is (U), the problem here likely lies within your system BIOs. I have a 16KB BIOSNDS7.ROM and a 4KB BIOSNDS9.ROM, also a 256KB FIRMWARE.bin. I've now zipped them up, and I'll send you a download link via PM. If this doesn't work, I really don't know what the problem would be, since my configuration and BIOs run the same dump properly, and in English.
