also if you have the right codec then the file will play on any player but some free programs on the net that will play most files zoom player (my favorite and comes with codecs) vlc but you should get the klite codec pack, just google it and then any video files you get in future will have no problem on the players mentioned above
Either Acemega codec pack Or K lite Mega codec pack cause by typing k lite codec pack only u will get the non essential codec lol u can play files but its best to have the mega codec pack
Don't install codec packs... Get a media player with the codecs embedded, no OS pollution that way. I personally use VLC.
i had bad experince with the VLC player lol its nice and dandy but its a pain to customize those settings well one can say leave it as it is no problem for example i downloaded the vlc ack then and as i was watching the anime that i downloaded the subtitle go off the screen and was crazy then i switch back to media player classic and codec pack is usefull it doesn't hurt to have them install into your registry.They are jsut codec pack after all.^_^
