Mine is and still XP, its the perfect os and i dont have any issue with it since day one unlike window 7 and vista which is full of bugs and need patches all the time.

plus XP is direct, unlike window 7 which require lots of click just to change an IP..... not sure why they put so many unnecessary steps and call it improvement.

i dont think it is about nostalgia when you keep getting complain program not running and it turn out they didnt run it as admin when the user account control is turned on. UAC is another unnecessary function.

Crap like that rarely happens to me, as I'm used to Windows 7 and can use it fairly good.
Yeah, that too. I partitioned a part of my harddrive just for that XD

This for me. But not only the taskbar (I wouldn't bother downloading a torrent if it was only for the taskbar improvement).

I'm guessing nobody chooses Vista and 3.1 LOL

you are just normal user, you are the type of people who mess with VPN and database stuff, those thing need the right which UAC doesnt give unless you run the program as admin (right click -> run as administrator), the reason why i turn it off asap when a new machine come in.

another dumb question i always get is how to change the ip, in XP its just in control panel -> network connection and eveything is there, now when you goto network connection, they give you a useless network diagram.

you dont need to, you just need to know the ip range, well for my company atleast.

Ah, I see. I have a laptop and am the only one who uses, so that's why that's never an issue for me.
And you can change your IP through an annoying batch of options and the cmd.exe.

I'm the only one who uses the Windows 7 copy (virtual machine, they don't even know how to start it LOL), so it ain't an issue for me too.

    Mom uses Vista Business.

I really favor Win 7 Ultimate... imo its not that cluttered and very organized than XP.
But my favorite still is Win XP maybe because i used it like for 7 years and Win 7 just came to me like a few months ago.

Still need more adjusting to the new OS...

That's a system. I demand OS', not system models.
