What is your favorite classic game?

    I'm talking 32bit or less.

I think mine would have to be Shadowrun on the Sega Genesis. If you don't mind old school graphics this game is one of the best ever. You get to choose at first if you are a shaman, street samurai, or decker. I always chose decker; it is too much fun flying through cyberspace and attacking computer systems to steal files to sell. You could always hire a good samurai troll and an elf mage or shaman for back up anyway. There are also cybernetic implants you can get, deck out your body with wrist blades, muscle replacements and wired reflexes. With cybernetics you can also link your cyber eyes directly into the targeting system on your submachingun. You might have to put some money in the right hands to get contacts to the good stuff, not to mention permits for carrying your illegal firearms and armor. BTW, on the start screen, if you wait for "press start" or what ever it says then press a b a c a b start, there will be a hidden menu at the bottom of your interface with cheats. Check it out and if anybody out there has connections to the game industry, an updated version of this game could possibly be one of the best games of all time if done correctly.

I don't think I've ever played a 32bit or less game. But one thing I miss from the old days is the originality of the games, for some reason it's now more about graphics than gameplay, games become boring too fast and besides I can't even run games that require a fast rig. >.<

Gimme a good old FPS (no not counter strike) and I'm happy. :)

no please, nothing based on Half Life, that's just nuts, I know exactly what fps is the best ever, and no worries, I'll be spamming the link once the new version comes out, by then you don't need Q3 anymore. :)

WHAT! TOU DON'T LIKE HALF-LIFE! Its the best game ever! i beat ti over several times.. and i play TFC like couple hours a day its a very fun FPS game. And there are maps that are just more then FPS. There are conc maps which you have to use concusion grenades to push your self over objects and stuff. Also rocket jumping maps witht he same intent. Demo maps also. Fun maps. Escape maps. lots and lots of maps =D

I like HL as a single player game, as a multiplayer game is horrible slow, I know something you'll like though, not quite as fast as Unreal Tournament but it features elements such as wall jumping and power sliding, it's just awesomely fun.

This has been very hard for me to answer. There are so many game titles in my head hitting at once. One that really comes to mind is “Gunstar Heroes” for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. It is a very good well thought out and balanced game. One that you can go back too again and again and still have that thrill and fun. The contra style fighting & shooting along with the diversity built into this game, for me, has made it a “Treasure” classic. Those guys no how to program.

Hehe as a programmer I just can't help comment on code of old game, while it was back then very advance it would not take very long today because of all the advances in technology and programming languages. I might make a game my next project, once all the romulation stuff is done.

Well if your going to include playstation one games, then I would have to say Xenogears. The greatest game ever made imo! Never seen a game or movie, or show with so much plot and detail! A must play game, unless you just plane hate rpgs.

Too hard to say but a tossup of streets of rage, MK2, SF2, Megaman, Sonic and Mario.

@ Seph you never played psx/ps1 or saturn?
