What is the most frustrating thing to happen to you in a game?

When I was originally playing through Final Fantasy X it was back when a lot of PS2s were dying for whatever reason that I can't remember. I completed that stupid chocobo racing for a time of zero seconds, which was frustrating enough on it's own, and was talking to the lady to get the reward and my PS2 went out with a bang, literally. I got the message, "You receive the Sun Sigil" (paraphrased) and then there was a loud bang noise as I watched my PS2 jump in the air about half an inch. The game just sat there on that screen forever as the PS2 was now busted, and to add insult to injury the disc got deeply scratched and didn't work anymore either.

That sucks, getting the Sun Sigil for Tidus's Caldablog (?) is extremely difficult. Probably I was playing FFVII one time a few years ago, I was on my awesome foursome game, levelled up each character 10 levels except Yuffie (don't like her that much), and then got really tired since it was about 3 in the morning. So I just turned my PS1 off :p Without saving :( I think I got knocked out after that.

two of the worst things that happened to me:

    1. On an actual SNES console with a copier/loader, I've been playing for several hours, & have forgotten to save onto a floppy disk my save data, then a power failure occurs! Damn!

    2. Playing ROMs on no$gba, I've been playing for sometime & I know I have saved my game, I quit only to find out later I haven't got the correct save type set, hence my game was never actually saved!

The only fustrating thing happened to me -

After reaching the last gym battle on Pokemon Diamond while playing on No$gba... I woke up the next morning and I found myself at the starting of the game.

This is not really in-game, but here goes. I accidentally deleted the folder marked "ROMs" instead of the folder marked "NitroTracker" on my R4. Countless hours of gameplay, as well as save files... gone.

That's why I don't let people borrow my DS. :p Did you get to finish the game anyways?

Similarly, I had a friend that got 100% complete on GTA: San Andreas and decided to start a new file just for fun. He ended up accidentally saving over his old file with his new one, man was he pissed.

I was playing pokemon red for several hours without saving, when suddenly the electricity was gone.

So, I was playing Ragnarok Online (MMORPG) a few months back. I was farming the monster drops and the mob I was attacking dropped a VERY VERY VERY rare item (0,005 chance of dropping, I believe, and the mob spawned once every six hours). As I was about to pick it up, electricity went out. Yeah, I pretty much cried right there.

I cant remember the name of the game(it was for the GBA) but anyway, I was at the last level of a ruin which I had spent hours(about 5 or 6) getting through and there was no way to save until after you had completed the ruin, but at the last level right where the end only a few second left I died and ended up at the beginning.

rpg's that I get stuck in, stop playing for a while, then am completely lost and have to go EVERYWHERE to figure out what to do next.

All of the FF's are like that, then after I complete a game and it puts you back into the world instead of ending. good for mini games but confusing to me ??? what do i do now.

Then the level grinding, literally having to use a cheat device because I skipped too many battles and can't beat the boss. I have literally spent over 24hrs "not in a sitting" just simply grinding away, la pucelle tactics was the worst, didn't use some characters that later in the game required me to use them via getting rid of the ones, as part of story line, that were leveled up. aka level 2 character in a major boss battle that required over level 30? type thing.

wondering why FF8 was so damn hard as it was near Disc 4.
then realizing that the enemies adjust to your level.
then realizing that level doesn't really make you that much stronger since it's the junctioning that does.

then having to start over because you have to Card everything.

    second most frustrating thing.
getting to the Lunar Cry and then for some reason your .sav file is completely screwed and corrupted.
then having to restart because no one made backup copies at each stage in the game.
