Hey fellow RomUlation members, I have a question: what download manager do you use? For example: when you have 16 different rapidshare mirrors and you want to speed it up by downloading them successively and quickly. Which would you recommend? All help is welcomed. Thanks
I've always used Internet Download Manager, never had any problems with it. And these download accelerators will only make you get your full speed, but you will never be able to chew what you cant fit in your mouth. If you have a 1mbit connection, the download accelerator won't make you get more than that. Also, you are aware that you need to be a premium RS user if you want to do that right?
You dont need to think as you cant.Rs sucks donkey balls and megaupload and mediafire rock.Try them and you'll see what i mean.
You have to wait before downloading another Rapidshare file (same goes for Megaupload) if you download over the quota, you have to wait about an hour or so.
Maybe I'm doing something good, because I can download full games (about 1.4 gigs) easily in a day, and I'm not a premium member (rapidshare)
DownThemAll. If you're using Firefox, that is. Better than the standalone apps I tried. Silly rabbit, RS is for kids . I usually use torrents, and RS is my last resort when I can't find what I'm looking for.
That's just so completely ignorant. The thing is RS hosts in Germany while MegaUpload and MediaFire hosts in the US. So yes, to a US citizen the latter two will obviously be better, but to a European the former will be best. So try to, for just a single moment in your life, look beyond your own nose and be objective, I know it can be terribly hard and make your head hurt, but it'll benefit you in the long run.
No,seph.I know that. The slots of rapid is always full, and i use a shared 5 mbit connection. So someone is always downloading something.Mediafire and mega are free for me at that time.Rapid is too famous.
Let's think a bit about why does that happen, ok? I use Free Download Manager, never gave me a single problem. Stand alone app, indeed. If you use FF, you need Flashgot too. Flashget gave me some problems, it stopped working after a certain period of time. Also, I always can download whatever I want, whenever I want from ALL those sharing sites (RS, MU, MF, ZShare, etc. etc.). Don't ask me why or how, I don't know (and no one does at the moment).
If you have Firefox, DownThemAll! is a brilliant, free download manager. Oh, and yeah torrents are way better for larger files...
