What happens after you die?

Every living things die, maybe in their different ways like old age, accident, murder, suicide, war and other methods known to end life. But after you die, what happens? Do you cease to exist? Will you become a ghost or a spirit? Will you go to hell or heaven or purgatory?
Maybe you just wait until judgement day? Or be reincarnated into a new being? Or a forever darkness?

I asked this myself after contemplating how to commit suicide and thought, after this, whats next? I read on other websites about using religion as the answer, while some says you just cease to exist, or just poof! you're gone. Some says, after micro-organism eats your flesh, you are nothing. Or in a gamer's perspective, its just a new game, a total blank character reborn and you just do it again until you make a name for yourself or just game over and do it all over again.

So, in your opinion, what is next after death?

 

well when you die, after your heart shut down, your brain and other organ start shuting down one by one, your senses doesnt work anymore (you will be in a sleep without dream and wont wake up), your muscle will tense up a stages call rigor mortis. Rigor mortis can last upto 72 hours, mean while the bacteria will start decompositing your body inside out and will release an ordor that will attract other insect to eat and lay egg on your dead body till there is nothing left.

that is what happen to you when you die.

As much as I would prefer re-incarnation or become a spirit, it's not ganna happen...you mind shuts down...that's it.

 

When you die, you are dead. Simple as that

That's why cremation is a good choice.

 

I'm not asking what will happen to your body, what I'm asking is what will or may happen after death.

Well, hypnos has his version, your mind shuts down. So, its forever darkness for your part?

You die on earth but not on heaven. It depnds on whether your good or bad. Nice or man. A giver or a greety guy. Everybody has to go somewhere!

 

well i think it depends on how you die and what you did in your life. Like if someone died of old age and was kind when he was alive he will have a good afterlife like heaven or becoming a new being. and if died of suicide then you would become a sprite to think over what you have done till the end of the earth. and I'm hoping that it wont just be nothing since i wont to be something (like most people would) even if its just an insect. Come to think of it do you think people may commit suicide from there believes like religions that say you become something new and that person believes but something in their life isn't to their liking even a minor detail they would kill themself?

I hope heaven or reincarnation are actually true, because the way i see it these are both theories that give us comfort when faced with death and make us feel more important then we really are as a race.
