what happened to the ps1 games to ps2???

whatever happened to the success of some of the games on the ps1 and are no longer made for the ps2, like battle area toshinden??

 

oh, you mean Parasite Eve and Dino Crisis? i still play them from time to time in my PSX

 

but whatever happened to them after the ps1 died and then it sort of got killed as we don't see them for the ps2.

 

Yeah, most games that are that good dont continue their work. Im still happy that Dragon Quest continues to be on different consoles

 

remember fear effect??!! what happened to that game?? did the series ended or was it killed??

 

Also Legend Of Dragoon etc. They didn't continue it on ps2.

 

Perhaps we may see a sequel in the future. I remember when I first played Woldenstein 3D. That game was extremely old. And much later, they finally remake it.

 

but is the remake a remake or a continuation or tie to it's previous games??

 

Actually I don't think it is a remake. It's a whole new game. But I dont think the story of any Woflenstein games differ that much. Just the same old killing Nazis stuff.

 

And I would assume the only reason a contract would be drawn is if they think the game would be a success.

 

In this case, I'm very suprised there was no sequal for this game.

 

Yeah it's a shame they didn't make one on ps2 because I really loved that game. SCEA probably stopped making games. I haven't heard of a SCEA game other than LOD so...

 

well you may consider the fact that its going to be boring if the old game keep coming back...i love Parasite Eve, but would i like to see Parasite Eve on every Playstation? no...but i dont mind a sequal

old game(s) need to die no matter how good they are because if they dont, there is no room for new game because the developer are busy porting old game into newer system.

 

I'd like to know what happened to the awesome Sonic and Crash Bandicoot series on the PS1. The PS2 reinventions suck.

 

What about final fantasy. That game has been going on for ages and people still like it. Dont know why though. I find it repetitive.

 

well each final fantasy have a differ storyline, but then even they have the same storyline, they have the same gameplay \ element, each of them have magical spells, ability to summon creature and turn base.....so each final fantasy is almost the same IF you dont enjoy the storyline....

to tell the truth, i stop playing FF....but i still replay FFX and FFX-2 sometimes.

 

crash bandicoot games aren't by naughty dog anymore. hence why they suck. they were sold to someone. forget who. they suck.

 

There are so many great games that don't get made anymore. That's a damn shame.
