They aren't a gaming company, they just parpicipate in gaming, sure they have their own gaming studios....but I'd never consider them a gaming company...


Now sega, those guys were (and still are) AWSOME!

 

yeah but they make best selling console all the time... the great PS2, tough they aren't pure 100% gaming company, the same goes for microsoft

That's all I saw, anyway I'd have to go for Nintendo some of their games just can't be beat.

 

The ps2 wasn't great, it was just some of the masses of games on it.

Best are metal gear solid, and devil may cry...everything else you can get on the xbox or gamecube.

 

Do you define gaming companies as "companies that make games" or "companies that are focused on games"?
Because of sheer lifespan Nintendo would win as a strictly "gaming company". SEGA comes close, and had it not abandoned consoles altogether with the dreamcast would still be a major contender in the industry today.

 

I choose the latter.

And while I once a nintendo fan boy to the max, I had a bit of respect for sega.

 

I favour nintendo but I love sony products, like: T.V.s, laptops, etc...
But the playstation hardly gets played in my house. (Except for when I want to play Bayonetta )

 

hm... thats a tough one in my book.
My reason, both play nintendo and sony products. thats the same with the emulator right? cause i play a gba emulator which is a nintendo, while i play psx..which is sony, if i were to choose, i would choose sony, and the psx to be specific. why? i waste points here in RomU for a single game even though some of it are crappy based on my netbook, but i still download them just for the fun and to waste points.

While nintedo games in GBA emu... i kinda play the super mario and maybe breath of fire right now cause i just like to see why it went from BOF 1 to Breath of Fire 4 in PSX...

so, its like from nintendo then like to PSX-sony

If you took emulation of of the equasion then it's preety clear.

While I enjoy sony games, I do not like the system...I do find the psp interesting only because of the emulation capabilities

 

Yeah... so the question is about the gaming consoles made by sony and the nintendo corporation...

can we have a list? cause if you pick handheld games then nintendo without question for me, but if its about big consoles, then i'll choose sony... ps1, ps2 and ps3....

 

I'm a bit surprised here, seeing as I know there are XBox & Xbox360 fans on here as well. But seeing as Microsoft was not in the list & so is SEGA (as BloodVayne pointed out, I guess it's out of the picture.

Anyway, everyone who voted for Nintendo is correct & I guess you didn't know that Sony's PlayStation (1) only came about after Nintendo & Sony had a bit of a scuffle when they were collaborating on that SNES CD add-on they were both planning for the SNES to take on SEGA's SEGA CD back in the day.
