Meh, it's okay. Despite it being Pink Floyd, it's sorta.. generic. Sounds like any guitar solo during the time. The only thing that differentiated it from any other was the vibrato around 3:34 but then that stopped. That being said, I'm not really a Pink Floyd fan. I prefer simple solos, like any solo done by Weezer (Say It Ain't So, Buddy Holly etc). I also love the solo for a song called Trouble by the Rakes, it has like 5 different notes but I don't know why I love it so much. Also I like the solo in No Kind Words by The Maccabees, it speeds up the song, I like that. I just love solos that sound simple but sound really good given the context. Also The End, Something and Rocky Raccoon come to mind when I think of solos. (Rocky Raccoon's solo is keys). Most of The Beatles' solos strike me as powerful, but that's just me.
David Gilmour is an excellent guitarist and soloist as well, but this is not the greatest solo ever performed.
