What do the Akaio loaders do?

    So I just finished putting the 1.5 firmware and some roms on my microsd card, but now I'm seeing something on their Wiki about getting the "loaders"...

    What do the loaders do? Do I need to get them?

    http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php?title=AKAIO#Official_AK2_Loader It's recommended you do, just in case the AKAIO loader fails with compatibility of a game, you have another to fall back on.
