i use undisker to extract the files from a .bin file
    i also use cd-r discs

im doing it this way at the moment
    download iso from romulation
extract the .rar or 7z file
then extract files from the .bin file and put them onto a cd-r

    where am i going wrong

because the disc wont work on a emulator it keeps coming up with a wrong ps1 logo
and if it doesnt work on an emulator then i know that it wont work on a real ps1

you shouldn't extract the files, a .bin file is an image meant to be burned.

download imgburn, run it, chose 'create disc from image file', select the .bin file and burn at the lowest possible speed.

Also your PS1 has to have a mod-chip.

where do i get a mod chip

edit. right ive tried burning the image file with imgburn and i still got the same problem it as no header
how do i put the header in

    i own a ps1 not a ps2

i know how to get the ps1 to play ps1 burnt/copyed games i just use a cheat device which is now considered rare
but because the ps1 logo wont load up properly on the emulator (because of header problems) i know that it wont work when using a cheat device on a real ps1
so im wondering how to fix the header.

also if theres a easy way to get the ps1 copyed iso's to work
then im asking for that too

If your PS2 has a mod chip, PS1 games will still work on it. You still would need a PS1 memory card to save though.

Using caps lock in subject lines is like cruise control for awesome!

In fact, the IFPNOOOA (The Institute For Pulling Numbers Out Of Our Asses) has found conclusive evidence showing that caps locked subjects lead to a 37% reduction in both time it takes for someone to reply and brain cell function in the poster.

    /end rant

Just use the swap trick if you want.
