I'm a little behind on things so sorry if this is well known, and if there's a thread about this that I should read please post it. Been a few months since I've downloaded games from the Romulation site and I see that a lot of the newer NDS rom additions are labeled with XXXX instead of numbers, example: xxxx - Transformers - Prime - The Game Are these regular roms that will work on all NDS devices (with the appropriate firmware of course), or do they have something to do with the 3DS and will not work on the Lite or DSi? I will be upgrading from R4 to Acekard 2i, but I haven't tested it out yet, thanks!
Those labelled xxxx roms are not yet added into the scene release list. Numbered and xxxx shouldn't matter. All of which will work just fine. Nothing to worry about. Of cause, all depends on how up to date your flash cart's firmware, as I'm sure you know already. And only 3DS roms will not work on flash carts since no flash carts support it yet. But all NDS rom will work as usual.
XXXX ROMs are simply games that aren't dumped by The Scene. The only difference is that scene ones will usually have DSi Enhanced data dumped, unlike the ones done with Wooddumper. But there really is no difference so they will all play fine.
Oh great, thank you both for your information. I thought maybe it was something different that I wasn't going to be able to use so glad it's just what you've said. Long time Romulation fan and happy that roms are back on Romulation as this is the best NDS rom site that I've come across!
