I am pretty bored of diablo and warcraft so if anyone can introduce me to a good free PC/MMORPG please do so here.
F.E.A.R well its not a mmo its a fps but it does include multiplayer i highly advise that you get it. Awsome game
Gears of War on the PC, unless you have played the XBOX version. Its fantastic. It also has online multiplayer and co-op. Great game. For a single player, try Tomb Raider Anniversary. It is an awesome remake of the original Tomb Raider.
Free MMORPG? There's tons of them out there. Some of the notable ones I've played include: - Tales of Pirates - pretty fun, no real magic class outside of a priest-type character, though - Trickster - extremely colorful and well drawn 2D style, fun drilling mini-game, classes are pretty cool (gunner, anyone =3), relatively poor leveling pacing, unfortunately - Ragnarok - Many classes with branching paths, actually very well done - bad sense of direction, though (complete and utter lack of an established quest system) They're all free games, though Ragnarok does offer a paid subscription or something, as well as the obligatory "Pay for items that unbalance the game" system of free MMORPGs. You got to remember with these, though - you get what you pay for. As far as other PC games go... only suggestions I might have are Portal and Team Fortress 2, both from Steam, a puzzle game and an online shooter, respectively. Left 4 Dead is also coming out pretty soon, you might want to look into that one.
If your box can handle it Crysis and Crysis warhead. Bioshock. Oblivion. Try all of them console ports from Capcom/Ubisoft or Assassins creed(don't believe the bad reviews if you play it NOT like splinter cell or any other stealth games, it's really good). BTW Fable 2 I'm guessing its gonna be like a generic MMO.
Not technically, you ahve to use real world money to get the 1337 items and stuff, but there are heaps of games along those lines, for example last chaos, i think rapplez5 is like that etc.
Not true, you only can buy useful items with real world money, everything else is available through gameplay. Real money buys you 250(i think) potions that fit in one slot, exp bonuses, special clothes, stuff you can get anyway but that's very expensive and some other stuff not really essential to gameplay.
