Kaspersky Version 8 or 2009 to me. Faster Scanning speed, High Detection Rate, Behavioral Blocker, & Low Resource use.

Never heard of that antivirus. Yes I used Norton before changing to Kaspersky.

Check out http://ssupdater.com/ for antivirus tests & downloads!!!!

I've heard good things about NOD32 but I have been using ZoneAlarm for about 3 years and have never had any problems, unlike other members of my family that use Macafee and Norton who constantly get viruses... Macafee more so.

........If you wanna one of the BKAV production, check this out : http://www.bkav.com.vn/home/MuatheBkav2.aspx?d=9 Click on the arrow next to the words : "Download từ Server miền Nam" to download one and try. Although this Antivirus isn't very easy to use to you English speakers, you should check that out for once ;).........

Definitely AVG, I use AVG 8.0, has so many features, yet it still has a sleek, simple interface.

How do you configure FireFox 3 so it can accept/activate AVG's toolbar?

    Well here's what I did:

After Downloading FireFox 3, I uninstalled AVG 8.0, then I installed FireFox 3. After that, I re-installed AVG 8.0, and as I did before, I ticked the "install AVG Toolbar" option so AVG will install it along with the antivirus program. After installation, I check on FireFox 3 to see if it was added to the add on list, it says "AVG tool bar not compatible with FireFox 3. This is also true with the AVG Active Search add on, it isn't compatible. But on IE7, Both add ons are there, but who's foolish enough to use IE7 eew! :p

Try updating your AVG program, it updates the toolbar and search function etc. as well I think.

    Here's a picture.

Even if you use Linux, it's still good to have a good anti-virus program to support you, you never know what hazards might arise in the future :)

    Ugh!

What's wrong with my system!? ???

I downloaded the 8.0.101 build & installed it but FireFox 3 still can't accept the AVG add-ons!?

Do I need to download a new version of FireFOX 3? But I just got it two days ago? ???

I think most antivirus is better than Norton :-\ Norton Antivirus behaves, acts & function like a malware. Very hard to uninstall, slows, your computer to a crawl, a resource hog &cannot detect & sometimes detects but cannot remove malware. I tried Norton 3 years ago & have to remove it using Norton Removal tool from a friend laptop to install Kaspersky. Kaspersky is great & AVG antivirus is good, I tried it before changing to Kaspersky. It has AVG antivirus & Ewido antispyware combined. It ranks high among the top 15 in antivirus tests like SSupdater, AV comparatives, AV test, & other malware tests.

I think AVG antivirus does not support the latest firefox 3, jut wait for a newer release.

Look at the post of anandjones, his system's running FireFox 3 & the AVG Safe Search add-on is active.

Oh and in the future, do avoid double, or even multiple posting, it's against the forum's rules, just use the "modify" post option.

i use bitdefender its a patch/hacked version i have to wait ten seconds after hitting update and then connect to the internet and i have to off the automatic update too lol or else i will receive a invalid serial code error but its sure a lot better than free anti virus service(not naming any product here but hehehe its quite obvious what am i referring to)^_^

AVG is actually one of the highest rated AV products around, unlike bitdefender. Norton is by far the worst on the list though.

I've always had Norton, but it gave some problems on my previous computers. I hear AVG is pretty good, but I have yet to try it.

I use AVG on my laptop, and Avira on my desktop, plus a local antivirus (PCMAV) on both. That being said, I dual boot Linux (Ubuntu on the desktop, Puppy Linux on the laptop), so I guess I'm (dare I say it) reasonably safe.
