What animes have a lot of episodes? (51+)

I'm going to have a lot of spare time soon, and there is nothing I like more than to watch a marathon of good anime.

However I don't like it when they are only 26 or 52 episodes I like big ones like 100+ for a couple reasons:

1. If they were crap, they would have been canned before they could make so many episodes
2. I get to watch them for longer

I already know about/have watched:

1. Naruto
2. Bleach
3. DBZ
4. One Piece
5. Eyeshield 21
6. Inuyasha
7. Pokemon
8. Prince de Tennis
9. Hajime no Ippo
10. Initial D

Any that I'm missing? I'd appreciate if you guys let me know.

 

or you could watch short but good animes

Gintama (117 episodes +ongoing)
Yakitate Japan (69 episodes, but the story is comedy with bread making, but it's really good)

Ah, if only that were the case...There's a very stark difference between what's good and what's popular, unfortunately.

Nonetheless, if you want a long anime, then check out Detective Conan. I haven't actually seen any, but I hear it's actually good, even at 500+ episodes.

Looks to me like the TC wants quantity over quality, so I don't see why he should go for the manga over the anime.

Yes, they are...

The first five on that list are the kinda simple comedies that you could probably equate something like The Flinstones to. Pokemon's inclusion on the TC's list in the first post implies that he'd prefer other suggestions, so Detective Conan is next.

I have nothing against short 26 episode animes, some of my favorites include trigun, cowboy bebop and samurai champloo.

Hokuto no Ken has exactly 152 episodes + 4 new films + 3 older films. Plus much more!

I can't remember how many eps it has, but "Ranma 1/2" is good.

 

Ranma was 161 episodes with 13 OVAs and 2 movies

 

Pokemon Special has about 90 I think.
