i just joined and tried to download disc 2 of resident evil 2 and it said "click here to begin downloading" or something along those lines and then it took me to a real basic page saying, "this download is for members of romulation.net members only" in the end i ended up spending 350 or so points and not getting the download anyone else get this problem or am i the only one? if it helps in usin the most recent version of firefox with the google toolbar and what not (not too sure if popup blockers can affect a download)
This has happened to me too with an NDS rom, I just logged out and logged in and tried to download it and it worked fine. Try that if you want.
well i cant really just log out then back in and try to reDL because i no long have the points necessary to DL it anymore i'm ok with waiting the time untill i can DL it again but id like it to work the 2nd time around hehe i dont wanna sound like some jack ass that doesnt appreciate free ROMs because i really do appreciate the free stuff ;D thanks!!!
its really weird, i tried a GBA rom because they have no point cost and i was only able to DL it after i right clicked and picked "open link in new tab" after that when i click on the link it gives me the file, but after i tried a different GBA rom it worked the first click but not the second. it almost seems like it randomly lets me accept downloads or it only lets me DL them half of the time
It's probably just temporary don't worry about it. Oh and don't try to double post, it's against the rules.
You don't loose points if you get a 'only members can get this file' message, we don't take points until we've sent data; so somehow you accepted the download and started downloading.
apparently y'all do, i never got the download nothing saying "do you want to save this file?" or anything along those lines hopefully it works the second time around...
Something like that happened to me before I had logged in and tried to download a nds and it said I had to be a member last time i checked I was, so i logged in again and it said that didn't exsist I tried sending my password to my hotmail and it said that didn't exsist. So i went back to my email address and opened the confirmation email that i got when i first signed up, followed the link and it still didn't work. i made a new account usuing the same email address and what do you all think it said? thats right....email adress belongs to an existing user, or something along the lines. I eventually had to make a new email and a new account all in the matter of 3 days. I've never had a problem since.
The code says we don't, and the code is never wrong. We sent data somewhere, not necessarily you but someone identified as you requested data.
y'all make it sound like im trying to screw yall over by getting free points (which doesnt make since, seein as how you get 50 free every day) but im not... i clicked the link and didnt get a DL, just that webpage, no new files on the computer, no pop up winder saying the download is starting... NOTHING i guess what im trying to get out of arguing and what not is just reassurance that when i do have enough points for another DL, i actually get the damned thing this time P.S. i believe code lies... and right now it apparently does :-\
har har har this is gettin funny... i made another account on a different email i had and guess what? the same ol' stuff happened, i guess downloading PSX iso's is just never going to work for me... oh well back to bittorrents i guess, even though they suck oh so bad
Please do not double post as it is against the rules. Please use the Modify button at the top right of your post instead of posting two seperate ones.
I'm still saying you should try to download any other file, it's the exact same code that loads the download. Can you download any random GBA ROM?
That sounds like something wrong with your computer cookies settings or something and not RomUlation. I have no trouble when trying to download the files that you did. And torrents will actually be a lot faster if you spend the time setting up your ports properly and know what your looking for.
