Pearl isn't for the GBA, you can't play Playstation games on your GBA either...

read this for info on emulation pearl and diamond, it's not very fast though: https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php/topic,567.0.html

You seem to be a bit confused by Seph's explaination, so I'll try to help

Pokemon pearld/diamond are for the Nintendo DS console. Unfortunately they do not run very well on PCs. The only emulator that can run them is No$GBA. If you are still having trouble understanding, I suggest you PM NoMercy, he is also dutch. :)

Well if you really want just get an R4, and you'll be able to play pokemon pearl all you want. In your ds, really wish i had time to complete my guide as it would clear things up. Though i have to devote my time looking for notebook coolers. =\

R4DS is a slot 1 flash cart that contains hacked(or custom) firmware able to make the NDS play downloaded games.

No, no hacked firmware. Seems like you need the guide too. It has Nopass, and that's all it needs. Almost everyone uses it: DS-Xtreme, M3 simply (dir), Ninjapass, and ofcourse R4DS. Let me just re-direct you to the site for now:

I don't really care how it works, I just care about what works best.

The R4 is the best choice by far. M3 is just imitation hardware/software so it's not going to be reliable, and DS-Xtreme comes with 2GB onboard memory and costs $135 no lie. R4 costs $35-55 depending on where you go. I don't even know what the hell a Ninjapass is but i know it's a flashcart so that's just out of the question. You, yourself can read these reviews to make the choice, though i say go for the R4:
