Hey, I just tried to post a comment with the word "wouldn't", and it said using the ' was chat language, and I had to remove it. How is wouldn't chat language? It's a perfectly normal word.
I didn't know that there is a filter for the comments that omits "chat language"... Are you sure that that didn't happen in your mind? Unless by "It" you mean one of the moderators.
No, there is an SMS Language filter. It is point based if I remember correctly, and any comment over so many points is triggered and the warning is displayed. But I believe you can submit it again if you feel it was unjustly triggered and it will go through. It's more of a warning to let potential excessive SMS language users know the rules.
That makes sense. It's certainly working as a deterrent, it made me review my post. Next time I'll just click submit though. Thanks for clearing things up.
It's not as simple as that, almost, but not quite. See to the left of the submit button there is a checkbox: "Skip the chat-language check". Three guesses as to what that does, and the first two don't count.
I may just be stupid; but i don't see that checkbox. The "Post" box is the one on the left "Preview" is in the middle and "Spell Check" is to the right... I possibly just have it disabled or something though. Unless you're calling the "Preview" "Submit" and that was a joke about people not self-filtering their posts... Am i just being lame?
