I sincerely doubt it, but for some reason, the newest rom that I can see on the list is Blue Dragon. Is there maybe something that happened to the site, or is it something on my browser that caused this (using Firefox btw)? EDIT: Actually, now that I noticed it skipped from rom 4900 to 4904. So yeah, it's probably me that's at fault. Any way to fix this?
Yes. It is the last game uploaded. More games will be coming soon when I can be bothered to upload them.
Read the edited post. There's definitely a problem. Are there more roms after Blue Dragon? If there are, I can't see them for some reason. And where are roms 4901 to 4903? Because I can't see them in the list at all. EDIT: Oh, sorry, didn't know that. I'm guessing roms 4901 to 4903 aren't uploaded either then, right? But yeah, thanks for the help, I was just a little bit worried.
Just a question... Shouldn't keeping the DS roms up-to-date be one of the top priorities for the site?
From what I'm seeing on other download sites there are also 5 roms available for download after Blue Dragon: Shepherds Crossing 2 (U), Captain Tsubasa: Gekitou no Kiseki (J), The Daring Game for Girls (U), Jewel Master - Egypt (U), Super Robot Taisen OG Saga - Masou Kishin - The Lord of Elemental (J). The 'missing hole' roms are 4901 Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? Game Time (U), 4902 Chocolatier (U), 4903 Virtual Villagers - A New Home (U); also all available for download. So nothing vital but it surely is a lot of missing roms.
I asked this question a while back when the listing started falling behind a little. Didn't you guys read what Seph replied? He said the same thing in my thread as he did here. He'll upload them when he gets a chance. Obviously, he is busy with something right now. It must be something important or he would have had time to add the stuff by now, don't you think? Relax people.
Personally I don't care for these to not be available here since I downloaded them elsewhere, I'm only giving the missing list. Just a bit worried since it's the first time there's so many missing since I registered here.
Who said i wasn't relaxed? I Just asked a simple question (granted it was more of my opinion in question form) not go off on some tangent about how it's unfair and hurting the community or some such. I Have no doubts that Seph is busy with a lot of stuff that we need/want done with/to the site. I Just think that having the games updated much more frequently and completely could do nothing but help our community and that's what pulls new people in is the constant updating. I Know that's the main reason i joined the site way back when. Yeah i know all about that, but it seems to be done (or at least somewhat stable). I Just kinda miss the old updated almost everyday for new roms RU we had. Now it seems we keep the same ones on top for a couple weeks at times. I Expect to be reamed a little by Seph, but i wanted to make my point and then sulk into obscurity again.
To play devils advocate here a bit. Usage wise it doesn't really matter for the generic games. RomUlation isn't going to either gain or lose visitors over the update rate, we've surpassed a point where we became the default site to recommend for people. The only games that are really worth getting up really quick are the very popular and highly anticipated games which generate a lot of back links. That said, NDS was what got this site popular and it is of course an important aspect of the site, so I will keep it updated as frequently as I can. But there are going to be weekends where I'm away and days where I simply cannot be bothered to spend the hour it takes to download, repack and upload. That is an exaggeration I'm not even sure you yourself believe. The oldest 5 games were 6 days old and the rest were from yesterday and today. It's not that we wait weeks to upload, it's that the dump rate by the usual groups has significantly slowed down, if people want to see more frequent updates then they'll have to contribute dumps to us.

[/quote] Not saying that it has been weeks right now, just saying in the past it was a very long gap at times. But you're right, and i probably just loose track of time a little and stretch it out to be longer than it really is. I Think you do too much work yourself. Are you and Loony the only admins? (aside from the guy with the servers)
It's not exactly easy to find qualified help. We have put out requests for design help before and gotten some feedback but only limited work done. Programming wise I'd need to give people access to site and to be honest that requires a lot of trust. Uploading wise I'd need to give people access to getting ROMs, which I can't even if I wanted to. I hardly do any forum moderation as it is and there are several people who can approve screenshots and police the comments. I'd love for other people to do work around here, but it's sort of hard to get them introduced to it as it's a long process and requires quite a bit of knowledge and dedication.
Oh yeah, i have no doubt about that. I Used to run a mildly successful forum years ago and even that i was very protective over so i could imagine how protective you are/have to be over something this massive and delicate. Well i hope you find someone or are able to delegate to more people someday because i would hate to see you overwork yourself and burn yourself out completely.
