okay, i have been reading up on this system and my friend is giving me a laptop with windows 8 on it, i would like to hear from the great people of romu that has this OS, like what are the perks and little things that is wrong with it? i know from reading about it on some other sites that its a real resource hog >__> so if that is true then i might not keep the OS in one piece
it's a completely stupid idea, they've put a smartphone OS on a PC. So the entire interface is designed around touch screens and the sort of things you'd do with a phone or tablet.
ah, so could be possible why my friend is giving me this laptop then >__> well if that is the case then ill remove that OS and put my favorite on there
The guy who designed and headed the OS Win 8 resign from Microsoft, might I add. Reason to why he quit is still in speculation.

My local TV news said, Steven Sinofsky was believe to have resigned because he wanted more power than just being the CEO of Windows OS division. The other BOD doesn't see him fit thus he throw tantrum and left. But who knows what 'hidden' reason caused him to throw away such fine postion. If I were him, I'd stick to the job so long that fat check from Gates keeps rolling in my account. Maybe next thing we know, he left for Apple or Google.
