Hi i just worked out how to use a jpeg as my ds screen background just though i would share it with anyone who didnt know how to do it,i have an r4i in a ds lite.if you open a jpeg image for instance a picture of you own car with paint or a similar program you can go to 'file' (top left)and 'save as' and save it a s a bitmap file then put your micro sd into your usb open the folder called R4Imenu and go into the skins folder then open a skin up and you can see that there is topscreen image, bottom image screen, ect... hover the cursor over one and you can see its size ,go back into your paint program and resize the image the same size then save it and then rename it bottomscreen for instance and copy paste and replace the file in your skins and then when you turn on your ds you can change the skin by opening the config up(far right icon) and choosing the skin you modified,hey presto you have your own personalised ds background.im sure alot of you know how to do this already but i didnt coz im a noob but there may be other noobs who may find this helpful.
