So there are volleyball tryouts tomorrow. Any tips to get ready for a tryout or to do good? Should i drink a redbull before the tryouts? Do energy drinks work right away or should i drink it after 5th period so it has an hour to sink in?
Do it the real way. Eat healthy carbohydrates the night before (like a good pasta). Get a good night's sleep, wake up early (don't sleep in, it will make you more tired). Eat a healthy breakfast, nothing too greasey, but an egg and a couple pieces of bacon would be ok. Couple slices toast, Orange Juice, etc. Don't overeat, but don't skip it. A nice sandwich (whole wheat bread, meat, cheese, lettuce, light mayo or mustard) and/or soup for lunch. Again, don't over eat, but eat enough. Eat early enough to give yourself time to digest before the afternoon tryouts, you don't want to be working on a freshly full stomach. Drink a healthy amount of water during the day to make sure you are hydrated properly. And make sure to relieve yourself prior to the tryouts. Stay away from Energy Drink and Sports Drink before the actual work. Stay slightly active during the day, don't slack off, nap, sleep, lay around, etc. Keep yourself full, hydrated (with water), and awake.
