okay so i used anoothers unsecure wireless for a bit to watch a video... when it suddenly crashed down,, after wards my firewall constantly started telling me over and over that i was being assaulted by virus etc...just for the safe side i ran avg 2012 free version and that all stopped.. however something is wrong, not only do programs not run when left clicked(it just asks what program to run it in) but there seem to be missing tray icons and .dll's

it is a windows vista home btw

yeah the site should be safe which is what makes me thing it came from someone else around (possibly the very wireless network i was using)

Hrmm, can you tell us a bit more about the missing dll's and the name of the virus?

as far as the virus goes I do not know it wasn't telling me what was attacking the comp something like trojan-BNK and some other stuff along with it

whatever it was it was fucking with my touchpad files making it stop working, explore.exe, dvsplyr, and i forget what else and the dll i forget also(sorry i know that is unhelpful) the touch pad is working after the avg run but i have to right click run as admin to make anything with .exe on it to run

actually the microsoft security also found some other trojans called win32\cleaman.b and cleaman.g

I would advice you to try to scan with a program called MalwareBytes

@gamerace19: Your problem might be better resolved by people on communities such as thebleepingcomputer or majorgeeks as those places are solely meant for dealing with & cleaning up nasty virii & malware infections.

fixed it all... good thing i knew at least a little about computer trouble repairs... the virus tore through quite a bit of files.... enough that i had to use a friends computer to get the restore files to do a sys restore after the virus and malwares got ridden of.
