I'm just wondering, if it's possible to strip off the background of a certain video, and well, "Paste it" onto another video, what I mean, is like, one video (Without the background) is overlapping another video, s that video being overlapped will be the background, or is it impossible... if it's possible, can you tell me how oh yeah, I'm trying to edit people out of a video and placce them on a video of a post card of Egypt for SS...... It ahs to ahve contemporary music, and has to be modern, so my group did dance, yes, both of them are moving.
I know what you're getting at, that's one of the old tricks the film industry uses or used to use back in the old days, perhaps some of these new fangled video edtiting applets can do that
Not too sure on what you're talking about. A good video editing software would be Adobe Premiere or Ulead Studio or SonyVegas. These cost money though, as they have a lot of features and whatnot. You could just use a trial etc. or ahem.. Or maybe a free alternative such as Virtualdub. Don't expect Windows Movie Maker to do the job.
yes it is possible, it is a technique called chroma keying. The background to be removed must be a solid colour and be evenly lit for best results, and must contrast strongly with the colours used in the foreground. lime green or bright blue are most often used, hence the names 'blue screen' and 'green screen'. Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere can both do chroma keying, don't know about ulead because ive never used it.
I don't know, I took one look at studio and uninstalled it. It's crap. EDIT: I received this article in an email from Sony (I'm on the Vegas tips and techniques mailing list): http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/news/article.asp?articleid=55&keycode=3513#cont. Might be helpful as its a bit more specific than chroma keying.
Yeah Pinnacle can do it absolutely sure, it is a bit hard to use though. SonyVegas is more to my liking, have it since I'm currently making a short movie with my friends, it's about terrorists.
