hi i have a psp 3000 running firmware 6.20. can i put free full games and movies on it without hacking it? thnx ~tjm
Even if i dont have a PSP i dont think you can put games on it! I do know that you cannot even hack PSP 3000! Maybe you can put music and movies on it but i aint sure!
You can play movie on your PSP without hacking it, but unfortunately for the FREE games, it can only be played on hacked PSP, well unless you buy it. In order to play ripped/downloaded games on your PSP 3000, the OFW need to be at least 5.03, where it will use chickHEN or MHUspeed to enable CFW installed on it, such as CFWEnabler, and GEN-D. But, don't worry, an exploit(called TN-A HEN or something) has been found on 6.20 FW for all types of PSP, including GO, and it should be released before Christmas this year, just be patient. Plus, someone has working on for ISO Loaders for it as well , which enable ripped games to be played on PSP, and other emulators, etc. In the mean time, you can play Homebrew games through HBL on your PSP. Yeah yeah, we talking about life insurance here. EDIT: To OP, if you want to use the upcoming exploit, I advise don't update your current FW, just leave it at 6.20.
Homebrew you mean? I'll PM you the link later. Well, all of these hacking stuffs are risky, but if you follow any guides which has been confirmed working, then there should be no problem. HBL is less risky, since you only need to use save files from either Patapon, or the Golf games(there are 3 to be specific), load the game and the homebrew will be loaded automatically. As for the chickHEN, it is risky, since flashing your PSP many times, or any wrong doing may cause your PSP to brick, but that won't happen if you know exactly what are you doing. Oh, don't ever try running chickHEN on your PSP, it will instantly kill your PSP. But, if you want to try it, go ahead.
Just wait until HEN is released on the PSP for 6.20. It's only a few weeks until its release actually.
