Try redownloading a version to a folder, and then test.

Save files don't go in the same folder with VBA, they go in the BATTERY folder.

    Wait... nevermind, wrong emulator.

Are the save files created by VBA, or are they save files from a flashcart or no$gba?

    They aren't compatible save types.

You can configure the directory of your VBA's rom, savestates, save files, and snapshots...or just reset them all and they all go to same folder...

You should be deleting the saves and creating them again from VBA. Don't mess with anything.

i found the problem never rename your roms to make them easyer to find because its harder for the emulator to find

Er no? You can always browse to the directory that they're in. Unless you're renaming their extension etc.

i renamed the roms but not the save files so the emulatore couldnt see that it was its save file but as long as i either dont rename my roms or if i rename the save files along with the roms the problems fixed

Yes of course, otherwise it wouldn't know which save to use with which ROM. Same with a Flashcart.
