Hi everyone Can anyone help with my WinRar problem - i cant seem to find any topic covering this specifically... I have been using Winrar installed through the link given in the forums / tutorials page for PCs Now I am getting a message saying I must buy the software as I was only using a trial version available for 40 days. Is there anyway around this either for another 40 days or even better permanently. I have already tried installing / reinstalling. Thanks in advance
To avoid listening to the message at all, always use the "Extract Here" or "Extract to FolderName" options from the right click menu. It will run the extraction and will not pop up a message.
No need for WinRar when open source (linux user that I am) software is available that does the same job if not better. I would recommend 7zip, just download the windows version, works great does rar and many other formats. Best of all...free! One of the features I like, is you can just right click on a file and choose 7zip and it brings up a submenu of options. Just my 2 cents, for my first post here. WinRAR is free in a way they are just asking for money to help them out, but you do not have to do it, if that was the case then it would stop working after the trial, I been using mine quite often for about a year now. I also have 7zip as well.
