using my firered save from commercial GBA cart on a emulator?

    i just backed-up a my pokemon firered save so i could try and use the save file on my laptop, using a emulator but i have tried using no-gba and vba emulators and no luck soo far :/ any help?

    the save file will need converting to a format that the emulator can understand.

    Is'nt that only for DS save files?

    all solved now :) i just dumped MY rom using rudolph's back-up thing and put the .gba and .sav file in the same folder on my pc and opened using vba :) so i'll just dump my roms from now on :)
