This might be kind of silly but I've been searching the whole forums and I still can't find an answer. I understand the whole girt of downloading ROMs/ISOs and using them on flashcarts, emulators, etc... But how come the PSX ISOs are seperated into different discs parts?(ex: Final Fantasy VII Disc 1 of 3 etc.) So my inquiry is this: Does the separation of discs affect your progress? Or any ways to merge them into one, burn onto a disc, or make savable? Thank you hope I didn't miss anything.
It's because the original game has more than one disc. FF VII has three disc, which you must use one at a time depend on how far you've played. It's a normal thing. The game will usually ask for the next disc later on.
Here is the reason why they are all on seperate disc-game size. The games that have many disc are just that big, metal gear solid one (1gb total) can't fint on one cd, and the ps1 couldn't read dvd's at the time... Game progress isn't affected unless it's a seperate game altogether from the other disc (quite rare, I think devil may cry 2 may be one of these-but that's a ps2 game and I have yet to really play it).
Ah, thank you I understand now. It seems when I went on to the 2nd disc, I was pretty careless and forgot I wasn't even finished with the first yet. Thanks for your time and not flaming on me
Silly questions or not, as long as you ask with respect and be polite about it the people here are usually happy to help.
