use laptop as a network bridge

    this tutorial will tell you how to use you laptop as a bridge for you game consoles

    things needed
    laptop (with wireless internet support)
    router
    Ethernet cable
    and a game system

    1. Connect one end of the Ethernet cord to to your games consoles Ethernet port and the other end to your laptop

    2. Go to your network connections (in vista you can get to it by going to the network and sharing center and click on “manage network connections” in the side pane) then highlight both the “local area connection” and “wireless network connection”
    right click one of them [​IMG]and click bridge connections.

    if you did it right you should see something like this

    3 the last and final step is to go to you gamesystem and connect to the internet.

    im not sure how to do this in mac or linux so if someone knows fell free to post how.

    NOTE: you can also use your bridged connection with other things like a desktop, or anything else that has a Ethernet port
