I don't think so-however there is that media app from sony...

The one that allows you to download stuff for your psp on your pc and then to the psp it's self...

However, I assume the ps3 can't read what is on USB's, try it with some random crap like music and see.

Why would you want to download ps3 demos to your PC and transfer then to your PS3 when you can download them to the PS3 itself?

it will read USB devices but not necessarily all the files that are on it, I tried putting a divx format movie on a thumb drive and at first it wouldn't show anything then I pushed triangle and it showed up and played

it reads from usbs and can play stuff, i want to do it this way because ps3 downloads are being slow(due to wifi i think)

My PS3 will saturate my internet connection without fail when im downloading stuff. I do use a wired connection though.

there is this little thing call "background download". if you dont want to wait, just download using background download and go play a game.....

or just set it to auto shutdowm after download and go to sleep.

IIRC only for voice chat, if you want to hear the ingame sound, you need to plug it to your TV or Audio set.
